Princess Birthday
My daughter's 6th birthday is coming up on June 9th, so I am practicing some decorations. The first is the castle from Once Upon a Princess cart and the second is pinwheels from the Mother's Day 2010 cart. I made the castle at 8 1/2 inches and the pinwheel at 4 inches.
I plan on making the castle again with patterned paper and make it larger perhaps 10-11 inches. We will see. TFL

Summer In Paris
I bought the Summer in Paris cart specifically for the dress form image, I absolutely LOVE it. I couldn't wait to make something with it. I pulled the cart out today, slapped some Paper Trey Ink paper on my mat and cut, grhhh, I was soooo frustrated cutting at 5 inched the image was ripped and just plain horrible. I was soooo upset.
Not one to easily give up I decided to try using the new Bazzil paper I picked uo from HSN when it was on clearance. What a difference my images came out beautiful, crisp and just the way I imagined they should look. Still love my PTI paper, but maybe not for intricate cuts.
For this card I layered 3 different paper trey ink colors on a craft stock base. I then embossed the black layer with the D'vine cuttlebug folder and accented with VersaMark Watermark ink. I then cut the dress form image at 5 inches and used clear embossing powder on both layers, just LOVE the shine it adds. I also cut a little tag from Elegant Edges at 1.5 inches and layered on top of the same tag cut at 1.75. I then stamped with a My Pink Stamper stamp from the Simply sweet occasions set. Thanks for looking!!

Cricut Cake
I wanted to do a practice run with my Cricut Cake for my DD's 6th birthday.I made the cake and butter-cream icing from scratch, yummo!! I also made the white fondant that covers the came. I used Duff Goldman fondant for the decorations. I think for the actual cake I am going to do 3 cakes and have them at different levels and I will practice on my piping skills.I think I might tweak my colors a bit. Other than that I am loving how easy the Cake worked!! Can't wait to start on the actual cake.

Birthday Invite
Been forever since I last posted. We moved last weekend, finally. We have been working on our new house for almost 2 years and it was fianlly time to move in. I also happened to be the week of my nursing finals. Needless to say it has been a very stressful couple weeks.
Anyhoo, my oldest daughter is turning 6 in June. I made this card using my favorite Paper Tray Ink paper, Pink by Design Cupcake stamp (my fav), My Pink Stamper stamps, and a set I bought at Michaels made by a company called Stampendous. I had the best time making this card, loved finally getting to play with my Copic markers and I even used some glossy accents for the sprinkles. Hope you enjoy!

Birthday Cards
My mom asked that I make several birthday cards for the children that she babysits. I sat blank for the longest time, no ideas popped in my head. Then it hit me why try and reinvent the wheel, there are so many talented people out there who have made some great cards. I hopped on over to My Pink Stamper and inspiration hit. The whale and the worm cards were scraplifted from My Pink Stamper and little details were added to change them up a bit. I love the Dinosaur Tracks cart and had to create this little card for the boys in the group. The Cupcake card was created using the Papertrey ink cupcake stamp and die set, love they way they turned out.

My first attempt at a word book, I think I'm addicted. Now I'm going to try and make it bigger... and make one for my other daughter Rebecca. Time to get to work.
